Q: What does the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project mean to you?
A: It’s about a right to have control over your own life and your own body.

The idea of being pregnant is not magical to me. It terrifies me. I shouldn’t have to sacrifice my own body to force a pregnancy to term. We shouldn’t be forcing more pregnancies to term when there are so many children who are already here who are in foster care, or don’t have access to adequate nutrition or education.

Q: How would you like to see the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project engage with the community?
A: I thought the “drop in” style volunteer opportunity to pack menstruation supplies was a great idea. Great way for someone to help who doesn’t know how else to help and maybe can’t afford to give $$. I admire you all so much for going and lobbying face to face at the VA Capitol. That was badass!!
