You’re Playing As Kida

black & white collage of a black woman with long braids smiling

You are playing someone who is a 37 year-old single parent supporting an infant and six year-old child with a low-income job as a receptionist. You live in a rural area 3 hours away from the closest city in low income housing that is in an unsafe neighborhood and have no car or childcare options.

You are pregnant and are considering an abortion. What do you do?

Option 1:

Do Nothing

Overwhelmed with the results of your pregnancy test, you do nothing. You feel uncomfortable reaching out to your support network, because of abortion stigma, or the societal pressure that makes deciding to terminate a pregnancy feel shameful.

Option 2:

Access Your Support Network

Community support is a huge factor in your access to abortion resources, so you may be coming back here more than once! Keep in mind that you may be talking to different people among your friends and families.

You are scared and want support, so you ask a friend or family member about pregnancy and abortions.

Option 3:

Run an Internet Search

You have the privilege to have access to a computer with Internet and decide to research online about abortions.
